These beautiful earrings are genuine Victorian, Circa 1900
A lovely pair of 19th Century earrings.
10 large Paste stones adorn each earring, with smaller Paste stones in between.
The central old cut Paste stone is 1.75ct alone.
Paste is a heavy, very transparent flint glass that stimulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones because it has relatively high indices of refraction and strong dispersion, the Romans in particular were very skilful in the production of coloured glass pastes.
The earrings are set in Silver with 18ct Gold wires, the back of the earrings are white metal.
Steeped in history, they are a lovely pair of earrings.
These are perfect for a special occasion and look fabulous when worn, such a statement piece!
