This is fabulous, a genuine Victorian 15ct Yellow Gold Scottish Agate bracelet which boasts superior quality from the 1860’s.
Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria as it became a souvenir of her trips to Scotland. From the mid 1800's Queen Victoria frequented Scotland and her Scottish Castle Balmoral.
Seven fabulous polished Victorian Agates are set in 15ct Gold engraved links.
Agate is a strong mineral sometimes known as the earth rainbow for it’s patterned texture that shows varying colours the earth can produce.
Each Agate is unique with a wonderful hue showing their natural grain from within.
The bracelet leads to a fabulous 9ct Gold detachable shield clasp which is complete with a locket back showing a portrait of a finely dressed Victorian woman.
Purchased in London and steeped in English history.
