ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SCOTTISH BROOCH SILVER AGATE CIRCA 1860
This beautiful antique Victorian Scottish brooch is adorned with fabulous plaid Agates, Circa 1860.
Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria as it became a souvenir of her frequent trips to Scotland and her Scottish Castle Balmoral from the mid 1800s.
Agate is a strong mineral sometimes known as the earth rainbow for it’s patterned texture that shows varying colours the earth can produce.
Each Agate is unique with beautiful natural colouring and polished to perfection.
The brooch is all set in Silver and fitted with a sturdy pin and catch.
The brooch is steeped in history and looks stunning when worn, a true collectors piece!
