VINTAGE SILVER CUFF BANGLE GOLD FORGET ME NOT DATED 1937

A beautiful Vintage Cuff bangle fashioned in Sterling Silver and made in the Victorian style. The piece features intricate patterning across the front with a Butterfly and swallow at each end and a display of Ivy and Forget me nots in the centre highlighted in 18ct Rose Gold.
The images across the front are steeped in romantic symbolism with Forget me nots representing love and remembrance and Ivy an unbreakable bond, such as friendship or marriage.
The piece was once very dear to someone and displays a loving inscription within which reads:
“To Freda from Uncle Joe & Auntie Gladys
On her 21st Birthday
14th January 1938”
It is a superb Victorian inspired piece and holds securely around the wrist with the addition of a large box clasp and safety chain. It is fully hallmarked and dates the piece to 1937.
