ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SILVER SCOTTISH AGATE PADLOCK BRACELET CIRCA 1860
A wonderful antique Victorian Scottish bracelet C. 1860, made up of lovely barrel Agate links set with engraved Silver tips.
Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria as it became a souvenir of her frequent trips to Scotland and her Scottish Castle Balmoral from the mid 1800s.
Agate has been nicknamed the earth rainbow for its patterned texture that shows varying colours the earth can produce. Each Agate is unique with beautiful natural colouring and polished to perfection.
The bracelet is held together by a safety chain and a pretty padlock set with a striped Agate on top with an engraved Silver back.
A highly collectable Scottish piece and steeped in history.
