ANTIQUE VICTORIAN PASTE SALAMANDER BROOCH 9CT GOLD SILVER CIRCA 1880
This fantastic brooch has been commissioned with a 9ct Yellow Gold under gallery and a Silver top. It has been modelled into the shape of a salamander and its back has been set with an array of green and white Paste stones, with two red Paste stones being set as its eyes.
Paste is a heavy, transparent flint glass that simulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones. White Pastes sparkle just like Diamonds and take expert craftsmanship to capture their beauty.
A wonderful and fascinating piece that is steeped in history and is something to be treasured.
