A lovely antique Suffragette pendant made in the Art Nouveau style and fashioned in 15ct gold. It hangs from two long chains from the loop and has a wonderful open-work design and a long, swinging dropper at the bottom.
The front is decorated with pearls, a peridot dropper and an amethyst in the centre. The combination of gemstone colours was often used to show support for the women’s Suffrage movement which took place in the early 20th Century and symbolised; Violet for Loyalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope, or Give Women Votes!
It would look beautiful suspended from a gold chain and has remained in pristine condition.
