ANTIQUE GEORGIAN RED PASTE STONE COLLAR NECKLACE CUT STEEL CIRCA 1800
An exquisite antique Georgian collar made up of bold red Paste Stones with geometric facets across the surface allowing the stones to shimmer in the light.
Paste is a heavy, transparent flint glass that simulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones. Red Pastes have the rich red colouring of Rubies and take expert craftsmanship to capture their beauty.
The links are all held together with Cut-Steel rings leading to a large Silver box fastener decorated with sparkling white Paste Stones. It is very well preserved from the Georgian era and steeped in history.
