A fabulous Antique French star brooch dating from the late 19th Century, Circa 1890. The piece is decorated with shimmering white Paste Stones which sparkle bright like Diamonds across each of the twelve points.
Star images became popular during the late 19th Century as an interest in astronomy grew. Stars symbolise guidance and are seen to lead you in the direction you are meant to go.
The piece is fashioned in solid Silver and complete with French hallmarks on the catch. It is a splendid antique find and highly collectable.
