This magnificent Art Deco long guard chain is crafted in Platinon, and set with thirty three beautiful Old Cut Paste stones which sparkle beautifully.
Each stone is secured with a loop gallery that allows both the back and front of each stone to be visible – maximising the amount of light that can flow through them and improving their fire.
Platinon is an extremely rare metal alloy created in the 1920s to simulate the appearance of Platinum. Like Platinum, it is extremely tough and unreactive – meaning that it will not tarnish when worn.
This is a truly remarkable piece, and a beautiful testament to the ingenuity and inventiveness of jewellers of the Art Deco period.
