FRENCH SILVER ON COPPER FAUN AND DEAR BROOCH SIGNED R THENOT
This is absolutely beautiful, a genuine 1930’s French brooch which is signed R Thenot.
The wonderful brooch boasts exquisite detailed engraving depicting what appears to be a Faun child, a mythical creature famous in european folklore.
The child is face to face with a young dear which is wrapped in Ivy representing a loving eternal attachment, such as love and friendship.
Signed - R Thenot - a reputable French jeweler who specialised in intricate engraved jewellery pieces in the 1930s.
All set in embossed Silver on Copper displaying a Bronze hallmark on the outer circumference.
Complete with original pin and catch boasting beautiful all round workmanship.
This is a magnificent French brooch and a true collectors piece.
