The wings and body of the brooch are adorned with black French Jet pieces that are polished to perfection and smooth to touch.
French Jet is a type of black glass used to simulate the beauty of Jet.
It became popular during the Victorian period when black jewellery was very fashionable.
Complete with original pin and C catch set in Base Metal.
Purchased in London and steeped in English history.
