VINTAGE IVY LOCKET STERLING SILVER CIRCA 1980
A splendid Vintage locket fashioned in Sterling Silver and made in the Victorian style, Circa 1980.
The front is embossed with two stripes decorated with Ivy leaves which represent an unbreakable bond, such as friendship or marriage, as in the Victorian rhyme 'Close clings the ivy to the tree, so in my heart I cling to thee.'
The piece is fitted with a detailed bale displaying Birmingham hallmarks and makers initials. It opens and closes securely and is complete with two windows within for Photos to be stored and kept dear.
