A beautiful antique Victorian Locket C. 1900, set with six red and seven white Paste stones set out in the shape of a lovely Lyre which is a classical Greek string instrument and symbol of Apollo - God of music, truth and prophecy.
Paste is a heavy, transparent flint glass that simulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones. Red Pastes have the allure of Rubies but at a fraction of the cost.
The locket is stamped - 9ct Back and front, Silver setting - and has a lovely smooth touch.
Complete with windows and rims within so two photographs can be inserted.
A sweet little locket and a perfect gift for a loved one.
