This fabulous little antique Sterling Silver butterfly brooch is genuine Victorian Circa 1900.
Butterfly or insect jewellery is highly collectable and was a symbol of good luck to the wearer during the Victorian Eras.
Decorated in sparkling white Paste stones with a sapphire blue Paste body and ruby red Paste eyes.
Paste is a heavy, very transparent flint glass that simulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones. They sparkle just like Diamonds, captivating the allure of natures beauty.
All set in Sterling Silver and hallmarked 935 on the reverse for Silver.
Purchased in London and steeped in English history.
Looks fabulous when worn, a wonderful collectable piece.
Weighs 4.6 grams.
Measures 32mm x 19mm down.
