This beautiful antique Victorian Silver Scottish Citrine brooch is Circa 1860.

Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria as it became a souvenir of her frequent trips to Scotland and her Scottish Castle Balmoral from the mid 1800s. 

The wonderful brooch is adorned with four glowing Citrine’s, fabulous orange Carnelians and green Jasper stones. 

Citrine’s sparkle and have a crisp, radiant quality about them. The stone is sometimes known as ‘Gold Topaz’ and is the birthstone for November.

Jasper and Carnelian are strong minerals sometimes known as the earth rainbow for their patterned texture that shows varying colours the earth can produce.

The brooch is all set in a beautifully engraved Silver gallery which is fitted with a sturdy pin and catch. 

This is a wonderful Scottish collectors piece and steeped in Victorian history!

Weighs 8.5 grams. 

Measures 56mm across x 42mm down. 

Citrine measures 6mm across x 9mm down. 

Excellent condition.
