These lovely Old Cut Paste earrings are stunning.
Set with beautiful Old Cut Paste stones in Silver and 18ct fixed Yellow Gold wires.
White Paste stones chase down the central gallery leading to lovely large purple Paste stones which are the colour of deep velvet Amethyst.
The bottom Paste stones are over 8ct each!
Paste is a heavy, very transparent flint glass that stimulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones because it has relatively high indices of refraction and strong dispersion, the Romans in particular were very skilful in the production of coloured glass pastes.
They sparkle just like Old Cut Diamonds, captivating the allure of natures beauty.
The earrings have been commissioned from an old necklace.
These earrings would be perfect for a wedding, they look gorgeous when worn!
